Sex/gender was God’s good design. Woman was made to complement the man.

Now, Genesis 3:16 - the woman is in competition with man

in the 1980s - gender roles were recast

Phase two - romantic love was recast

now bodies are being recast. “‘Transgender’ ideology is grounded in the idea that the body isn’t an essential part of our being (a viewpoint known as essentialism). Our ‘gender identity’ is fluid, a social constrcut that can change. we may well be a man trapped in a woman’s body, for example; our identity does not necessarily match our body. In such instances, many ‘transgender’ people opt for reconstructive surgery so their identity fits with their body (an essentialist view, ironically).” (pg. 73)

4 suggestions for Christians:

1. Recognize the moral anarchy in our culture. no truth

2. Celebrate God’s Good Design. its beautiful

3. recommit to train, teach, + disciple our kids

show yourself a man

4. have compassion and call for repentance. \

Chapter 15 - LGBTQ+ is a religious movement. “This movement attacks God’s Word that repeatedly states the sinfulness of sexual activitity outside of marriage. The movement appeals to humanities whims and opinions as an authority to supersede what God says in the Bible. it is, without a doubt, a humanistic religions. To be more precise, it is called sexual humanism.” (67)
